I won a Samsung Galxay Tablet at work the other day. Not quite sure what to do with it. But then again, I’ve not understood wanting to watch movies on an ipod screen either. It seems difficult to type on. Though I did manage to finally get swype to install and work. But still holding it in one hand and typing in the other is aquward. My phone at least is comfortable to hold while using the other hand to navigate. Or I can lay the tablet flat on the table and hunch over it. Not exactly great for my posture issues.

Not to complain about a free toy, but everything it seems to do, I’ve got something else that does it better.

Watching a movie – I’ve got a very large tv in my room and one in the living room. I’ve already got Hulu and Netflix streaming through the X-boxes.

Reading a book – I’ve got dead tree AND e-readers with the e-ink that doesn’t make my eyes hurt.

Camera and video – I’ve got both of those in my purse (love the flip video camera!) Plus have you ever tried to take a picture with something the size of a 8×10 notebook?

Games/Music – the kids play the same ones on thier ipods. I have all that I need on my driod phone.

Playing on the internet – I’ve got a computer. Call me old fashioned but I like a keyboard better than the touch screen. I put up with it on the phone because it’s the only option I have for texting there.

I just don’t understand what I’m missing. What’s the big deal?
